This program is designed to prepare players to be identified for advanced programs such as Olympic Development programs U.S. Soccer National Training Centers and place players on the track to compete at high school and collegiate level through professional training, competition and expectations. We implement and replicate many of the highest standards required by U.S. Soccer. Players benefit from being part of one of the most innovative and comprehensive player development system in the nation.
Eligible players are players born in 2012 (U11) and 2011 (U12).
An eight month program: August - mid November; February - May; teams will meet on average three times/week.
Teams will participate in leagues that are developmentally appropriate for each team. Girls will be either pre-ECNL RL, NPL or COPL/OCL and boys will be either OSL, NPL or COPL/OCL. Game locations will be dependent on the league.
We have a number of training and game locations for our teams. Practice days will be determined by the coach and disseminated to the team at a later date.
There are five events included in the program fee. Any event over the included five events will be billed separately. Ala cart event fees will range from $45 - $100/event and will be billed separately at the time of such event. Ala cart event fees are only refundable to the extent a refund is received from the event.
For the 2022-2023 season, Sporting Columbus will be in season one of a two season uniform cycle (the current uniform cycle will end after the spring, 2024 season). All players will need to order a full kit. Uniform orders are placed online. After you pay your deposit, soccer.com will send an instruction e-mail to all players regarding the uniform process. Returning players will maintain their current number; uniform numbers for new players will be randomly assigned. The uniform ordering process will begin around June 15.
Team offers will be rolling and begin May 1. Offers will first be sent via email. Only players that have signed up for Tryouts will receive an offer. When necessary, phone calls will be made as a follow up. To accept the offer, please follow the instructions in the e-mail. Without the electronic acceptance and deposit, your player’s spot may be offered to another player, even if you have verbally committed to your coach.
Through June 30, the fee will be $1500 ($187.50/deposit with monthly payments thereafter). Starting July 1, the fee will be $1650. All fees include but are not limited to practices (outdoors, indoors, in person and/or online), friendlies and/or games. These fees do not include travel and/or uniforms.
All players will have a $25/player facility fee. This fee is non refundable, non scholarshipable and non discountable.
