This program is designed to prepare players to be identified for advanced programs such as Olympic Development programs U.S. Soccer National Training Centers and place players on the track to compete at high school and collegiate level through professional training, competition and expectations. We implement and replicate many of the highest standards required by U.S. Soccer. Players benefit from being part of one of the most innovative and comprehensive player development system in the nation.
An eight month program: August - November; Februay - May; teams will meet on average three times/week.
We have a number of training and game locations for our teams. Practice days will be determined by the coach and disseminated to the team at a later date.
Teams will participate in leagues that are developmentally appropriate for each team. Games will be throughout Ohio and/or neighboring states.
All events are ala cart. The program will look to do three - five events over the course of the club year. Event fees will range from $40 - $80/event and will be billed separately at the time of each event.
Team offers will begin Tuesday, May 26 (for returning players) and Friday, May 29 (for new players). Offers will first be sent via email. Only players that have signed up for Tryouts will receive an offer. When necessary, phone calls will be made as a follow up. To accept the offer, please follow the instructions in the e-mail. Without the electronic acceptance and deposit, your player’s spot may be offered to another player, even if you have verbally committed to your coach.
For the 2020-2021 season, Sporting Columbus will be in season one of a four season uniform cycle. All players will need to order a full kit. Uniform orders are placed online. After you pay your deposit, soccer.com will send an instruction e-mail to all players regarding the uniform process. Returning players will maintain their current numbers; uniform numbers for new players will be randomly assigned.
$1275 ($175/deposit; monthly payments start August 1) - this includes but is not limited to practices (outdoors, indoors, in person and/or online), friendlies and/or games. These fees do not include events, travel and/or uniforms.
